Responsibilities
Responsibilities * Demonstrates and maintains depth and breadth of knowledge skills and competence in nursing specialty * Serves as a consultant for education requests within NAH * Researches recommends and facilitates nursing specialty education for nurse residents nurse interns and/or any other program for new to specialty nurses * Analyzes and validates educational needs and competencies * Develops and initiates training programs that facilitate achievement of clinical care competency goals * Participates in the development of standards of practice using the most current evidence * Implements nursing education processes that enhance knowledge skills and attitudes for safe competent and effective nursing practice * Evaluates practice in relation to standards guidelines statutes rules and regulations to achieve professional goals * Utilizes experience and professional judgment to problem solve plan and accomplish goals * Performs other related duties as assigned * Completes mandatory training requirements * Meets various age-specific needs |
Learning Facilitator * Utilizes the educational design process to bridge the knowledge skills and/or practice gaps identified through a needs assessment |
Change Agent * Works to transform processes at micro- meso and macrosystem levels through inspiration initiation adoption and sustainment of and adaptation to change using project management and improvement processes |
Mentor * Advances the profession by contributing to the professional development of others and supporting lifelong learning as individuals develop across practice professional and educational settings |
Leader * Influences the interprofessional practice and learning environments the profession of nursing and healthcare |
Champion For Inquiry * Promotes the generation and dissemination of new knowledge and the use of evidence to advance Nurse Professional Development practice guide clinical practice and improve patient care |
Partner for Practice Transitions * Supports the transition of nurses and other healthcare team members across learning and practice environments roles and professional stages |
Compliance/Safety * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employees area of responsibility. * If required for position ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes all company mandatory modules and required job specific training in the specified time frame. * Responsible for reporting any safety related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. |
Qualifications
| Education |
- Graduate degree or completion date within 3 years if hired after August 1st 2024 (If graduate degree is not in nursing it must be in a related field and a BSN is required)
- BSN within 3 years if hired prior to August 1st 2024 to be completed by July 1st 2027
- BSN not required if you have a MSN
| Certification & Licensures |
- Current RN License
- National nurse professional board certification or attainment within 1 year of hire
| Experience |
A minimum of 2 years experience in clinical nursing practice required
