Assists radiologic technologists in preparing patients for procedures positioning patients and operating imaging equipment.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Operates and maintains radiologic equipment ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Assists radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Monitors patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains patient records and ensures that all necessary information is accurately documented.
  • Follows safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Education Requirement:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current student ofan accredited Radiologic Technology Program preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

CPR certification required.


Skills:

  • Ability to learn new proceduresfollow instructions and establish professional rapport with patients staff and physicians.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

Three quarters of experience as a student radiographer preferred.
