Pay HK$63338 to HK$88333 (HGPS Pt 26 33A) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. | |
Key Responsibilities | |
1. | Lead and supervise a nursing team within a clinical unit. |
2. | Develop professional nursing standard care protocol and clinical pathway. |
3. | Provide complex patient care in Surgical wards. |
4. | Acts as a resource and referral agent on clinical expertise. |
5. | Manage nurse-led services to provide specialized patient care. |
6. | Train and supervise nurse learners in advanced surgical nursing. |
7. | Train and supervise supporting staff to maintain effective ward operation. |
8. | Initiate and participate in evidence-based practice and nursing research. |
9. | Participate in the planning implementation and evaluation of the service. |
Entry Requirements | |
1. | Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. |
2. | Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *. |
3. | A degree in Nursing or equivalent. |
4. | 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty. |
* Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty. # Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted | |
Preferable Attributes/Exposure | |
1. | Demonstrated competency requirements and leadership ability of an Advanced Practice Nurse. |
2 | A Master degree in nursing or related discipline. |
3. | Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice teaching and training. |
4. | Completed specialty training in follows: a. Surgical Nursing or b. Intensive Care Nursing or c. Enterostomal Therapy Nursing or d. Advanced Surgical Nursing or e. Burn & Plastic Nursing or f. Urology Nursing or g. Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Nursing or h. Gastroenterology Nursing or i. Surgical Gastro-hepatobiliary Nursing or j. Breast Care Nursing or k. Neurosurgical Nursing or l. Neuromedical & Neurosurgical Nursing or m. Neuroscience Nursing or n. Stoma and Wound Care Nursing o. Colorectal Surgical Nursing |
5. | Knowledge of professional nursing practice & development in a specialty. |
6. | Planning organizing & evaluation skills. |
7. | Analytical & logical thinking. |
8. | Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals community organizations and general public. |
9. | Problem-solving ability. |
10. | Teaching coaching & counselling skills. |
11. | Ability to develop evidence-based practice and to conduct research. |
12. | Participation in professional development activities in Hong Kong. |
