Job Description
Physiotherapist - Gold Coast
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join a dynamic team of Allied Health Professionals!
This role is ideal for Physiotherapists with an interest in:
- Home-based assessments and equipment prescription
- Slow stream rehabilitation
- Individual and group exercise therapy
- Falls prevention
- Manual handling training and injury prevention
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include a mix of community-based and residential aged care clients:
Community Component:
- Visit referred clients to assess needs and develop therapy plans aligned with their goals
- Advise on visit frequency and manage your schedule efficiently
- Provide recommendations for aids and equipment
Residential Aged Care Component:
- Assess new residents and collaborate with facility healthcare staff
- Advise on manual handling requirements and design therapy programs
- Deliver individual and group wellness and re-ablement sessions
- Monitor falls and work with a multidisciplinary team to reduce risk
Additional responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and adjusting aids and equipment as needed
- Conducting one-on-one and group therapy sessions
Skills & Experience
To be successful you will need:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Police check and QLD NDIS Worker Screening Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Drivers License
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A client-centred approach
