Job Summary
RESPEC a nationally recognized engineering consulting company seeks a project engineer project geologist or environmental scientist in our Cheyenne Wyoming location. The primary responsibility of this individual will be to provide a combination of engineering support services as well as construction inspection and quality assurance/quality control services specific to mine reclamation. Travel will be associated with this position.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelors or masters degree in either engineering (civil environmental mining) geology or environmental science
- 3 to 5 years of experience in abandoned mine lands related work with at least 1 year in the construction management field
- Experience in ArcGIS Pro Software and other Esri products (field maps ArcGIS Online)
- A solid understanding of landscape and grading construction
- Experience with topographic surveying and mapping techniques
- Ability to provide construction oversight inspections and any related documentation and capable in the writing of construction specifications
- Ability to travel and perform investigation/inspections of abandoned mine related features
- Ability to operate All Terrain-Vehicles / Utility Terrain-Vehicles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills
- Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
- Experience in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD 3D software applications is preferred
- Familiarity of Carlson Civil Suite and Natural Regrade software is preferred
