Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction construction technology or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties:
Conduct general repairs across 10 buildings including facilities appliances and operational equipment.
Perform automotive electrical and carpentry tasks with minimal supervision.
Repair and adjust appliances; replace parts as needed.
Work independently or with lower-level staff to complete assigned objectives.
Inspect equipment requiring high-cost repairs and recommend solutions.
Assist with welding blueprint interpretation field repair techniques and communications equipment.
Operate heavy-duty vehicles and specialized equipment unique to campus operations.
Apply extensive knowledge of groundskeeping and chemical maintenance products.
Perform routine lawn care and landscaping tasks.
Carry out custodial duties and occasionally interact with the public.
Complete additional assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.
