Graduate Accountant

This role is responsible for the following accounting functions for NWVL NAPL NWVTL and Career Centre

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• Month-end journal analysis and journal entries
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables month end processes
• Prepare reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts
• Prepare and distribute intercompany billback invoices
• Contribute to the preparation of sundry invoices
• Monthly review and maintenance of the AP & PO Reconciliation Report
• Support petty cash reimbursement processes.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and support the preparation of daily banking activities
• Assist in gathering documentation for annual audits
• Support the compilation of schedules for income tax purposes
• Provide support for lease-related tasks as directed
• Prepare and lodge monthly Provisional Tax (PT) and quarterly Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT)
• Assist where required with VAT returns.
• Assist where required with distribution of monthly corporate credit card statements to cardholders
• Prepare and submit Quarterly BOS Surveys
• Prepare and distribute the compliance calendar
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Perform additional analysis and tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications :

Minimum

• Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting Finance or AND
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role;

OR

• Equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge skills or abilities have been achieved.
