The Homelessness Prevention and Community Support (PCS) within the Homelessness Prevention Administration is responsible for the oversight and collaboration with our homelessness prevention partners providing comprehensive programs to combat the many drivers of homelessness avoid shelter entry and re-entry prevent eviction and keep families and individuals stably housed within their community. PCS has oversight and administers over 70 million dollars in Homelessness Prevention Contracts including our network of Homebase providers and several other community-based organizations providing Homelessness Prevention Services.
Under supervision of the Director of PCS with latitude for independent action works closely with divisional cross-systems and community partners. The incumbent is responsible for supporting
programming for Homelessness Prevention and Community Aftercare Support including the Homebase programs practice standards and government rental supplements/subsidies that keep
families and individuals stably housed in the community.
The Homelessness Prevention and Community Support (PCS) within the Homelessness Prevention Administration is looking for an Administrative Director of Social Services NM I to function as a Regional Deputy Director who will:
- Respond to and coordinate support for case specific requests for homelessness prevention services via HRA systems emails and request from leadership. Provide consultation to
the Homebase and other community programs to ensure quality case management practice and programs meet their contractual targets goals and deliverables.
- Provide technical assistance to Homebased other community programs as determined. Coordinate and develop activities specific to incumbents areas of oversight
.
- Participate in development of data tracking systems. Support and/or facilitates special projects.
- Conduct on-site and in-office case reviews and participates in audit activities as required. Participate in regular meetings with providers. Conduct announced and unannounced site
visits. Support the application processing review approval and tracking of rental assistance programing for families and individuals.
- Assist with comprehensive staff training programs and provides ongoing professional development opportunities for external Provider staff. Conduct presentations
orientations and meetings representing PCS.
- Recommend and support policy and procedure updates in line with agency and funding directives as required.
- Direct supervision and oversight including supporting PCS staff development; provides/ensures staff supervision coaching; provides on-going professional development opportunities for HRA/PCS staff.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of progressively responsible experience including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency business firm civic or community organization operating in the area of social services; or
2. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 above. However all candidates must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and the one year of experience at the administrative or management level as described in 1 above.
