The Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory Team Lead will oversee a team performing analytical testing of large molecules using immunoassays and electrophoresis techniques. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with leadership responsibilities ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and delivering high-quality results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Duties:
- Perform benchtop testing of large molecules using ELISA MCE and ICIEF assays.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies media and reagents.
- Ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all records.
- Collect process and review raw data from executed assays.
- Utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking and documentation.
- Conduct peer reviews and collaborate on data corrections or retesting.
- Perform routine safety and compliance walkthroughs.
Leadership Duties:
- Manage and develop laboratory personnel.
- Coordinate team workload and cross-training to optimize capacity.
- Monitor and report productivity and quality metrics.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Participate in hiring onboarding and training new team members.
- Deliver training and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Support scheduling for overtime and weekend work as needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Biochemistry Life Sciences Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of cGMP experience.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience with immunoassays and electrophoresis.
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis and LIMS systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.
