Monitor and analyze key industry indicators economic trends and geopolitical factors impacting the gas market.
Identify emerging market opportunities potential threats and strategic areas for company growth within the gas sector.
Prepare comprehensive market intelligence reports presentations and dashboards for the Commercial Director and senior management providing actionable insights.
Benchmark company performance against competitors and industry best practices.
Support the development of market entry strategies and business cases for new projects or ventures.
Project Coordination & Support:
Assist the Commercial Director in the planning execution and monitoring of strategic projects related to gas production supply chain optimization infrastructure development and marketing initiatives.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans timelines and budgets ensuring adherence to project scope and objectives.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including engineering operations finance sales and external consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
Track project progress identify potential roadblocks and proactively recommend solutions to the Commercial Director.
Prepare project status reports meeting minutes and presentations for various stakeholders.
Manage project documentation ensuring all necessary records are accurate and up-to-date.
Facilitate communication and information flow between the Commercial Director and various departments/teams.
Strategic Support & Ad-hoc Analysis :
Provide analytical support for strategic planning sessions and business development initiatives.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and research as requested by the Commercial Director to support decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for board meetings investor briefings and industry conferences.
Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations within the gas industry.
Reporting:
Manage and organize project documentation ensuring accuracy completeness and accessibility.
Prepare regular project status reports presentations and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies and internal management reviews.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Petroleum Chemical Mechanical) Business Administration Economics or a related field.
A Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant specialized field (e.g. Energy Management Financial Analysis) is highly preferred.
Expérience:
0-2 years of progressive experience in market analysis project coordination or a similar role within the oil & gas energy or related industrial sector.
Demonstrable experience with a strong focus on the gas industry (natural gas production LNG gas transmission & distribution gas marketing) is highly desirable.
Experience reporting to senior management or executive leadership is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical quantitative and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw insightful conclusions.
Gas Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the gas value chain market dynamics regulatory frameworks and key industry players.
Project Management: Proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) is essential. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) and market intelligence platforms is a strong advantage.
Research Skills: Strong research capabilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Proactiveness & Initiative: Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
