We are seeking a motivated Associate Civil Engineer to join our Public Works team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to public infrastructure projects while developing technical and professional skills within a collaborative supportive environment.
- Assist with plan checking for encroachment permits; land development grading plans street plans water & sewer plans drainage plans drainage studies
- Review traffic control plans for compliance with applicable standards
- Coordinate with utilities contractors consultants and municipal departments
- Support construction management activities including resolving field issues when needed
- Prepare technical documentation reports and project correspondence
- Provide Capital Improvement Plan project support to senior engineers and public works staff
- Understanding of engineering principles related to public works utilities and/or land development projects
- Familiarity with land development and CEQA is preferred
- Awareness of relevant local state and federal regulations applicable to public works and development projects
- Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office required)
- Exposure to AutoCAD 3D GIS ArcView or ArcInfo is a plus
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active progress toward a California PE license preferred
Salary Range:$100000 - $130000
