This is a position in the Cash COE for Gas Power leading Billing & Collections across the organization. More specifically the Billing & Collections Leader is responsible for providing Cash (AR) financial planning (including short term and long-term budgeting) reporting and portfolio analytics for all business lines (ITRs) within Gas Power. The Billing & Collections Leader will partner closely with senior operating leaders and provide leadership to deliver on billing/collections/past dues/POT % targets. This is a senior level professional position requiring subject matter knowledge and experience independent in problem solving and decision making. This position reports to the Cash COE Leader & manages a team of 9 FMP.
Job Description
Responsible for assessing the amount timing and predictability of cash-inflows as the basis for budgeting and business-planning. Responsible for analyzing and reporting a business operating-activities change in cash-flow for a defined period.
Build retain and provide people leadership to the team of 9 (6 direct reports 3 1 over 1) FMPs (2)
Play central role in partnering with the overall Cash COE ITR teams in the coordination and development Billing and Collections Cash reporting and analytics ensuring key operational leaders have visibility to and are made accountable of weekly/monthly/ quarterly/annual operational cash KPI targets
Provides data driven provocative analytics to challenge pacing estimates and targets with operational drivers
Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements risk and/or complexity.
Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics. Guide others to consider a different point of view.
Lead Problem Solving efforts to improve cash linearity on time collections and Past Due reduction
Drive Operations teams to improve cash performance measured through key KPIs (billed on time paid on time past dues DSO etc.).
Drive standard work for regional billings and collections daily management from an FP&A standpoint (standardize the support to the Operating teams).
Provide management & financial reporting on all aspects of business on a weekly monthly quarterly and annual basis for strategic operational & financial KPI related to billings & collections.
Support leadership team in the preparation of budgets operating plans strategy
Ensure key processes and controls are in place to support a world class financial operation.
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college in Accounting Finance or relevant discipline
Major experience in finance accounting or audit
Fluent English knowledge is essential
Experience leading a team
- Self-motivated and high energy with strong ability to deliver results
Good track record of working in cross-functional team and ability to deliver financial results
