Job Summary

1. Role Overview Mercor is seeking bilingual EnglishPortuguese language professionals to assist with a translation evaluation project for a leading AI research partner. Experts will assess AI-generated Portuguese content for fluency accuracy and alignment with how language is naturally used in Portugal. This is a short-term flexible opportunity to influence language models with culturally precise input.

Review and assess Portuguese translations for fluency clarity and accuracy
Suggest improvements that reflect idiomatic and culturally appropriate usage in Portugal
Identify mistranslations or unclear phrasing
Provide structured feedback on tone regional usage and linguistic quality
Maintain high reading speed and attention to detail across varied content types

3. Ideal Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in both Portuguese and English
In-depth familiarity with Portuguese as spoken in Portugal
1 year of experience in translation editing or language quality assurance
Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills
Strong attention to linguistic and cultural nuances

5. Compensation & Contract Terms

$2530/hour depending on experience and geography
Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
