Job Title: TAS2 A4 SC2 Network Engineer
Location: Harrisburg PA
Duration: 6 Months
Note: Only candidates currently residing within the Greater Harrisburg Area will be considered.
Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Edge Networking team within the Bureau of Infrastructure. This role provides network support to edge networks for assigned state agencies and involves planning designing maintaining and integrating local and wide area network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise excellent communication skills and experience operating in large network environments.
Responsibilities
Install configure maintain and manage network infrastructure including switches routers firewalls SD-WAN edge appliances wireless and cellular-based appliances and associated hardware/software.
Monitor test verify troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues using industry-standard tools.
Assist in the planning and design of LAN/WAN network architecture including bandwidth analysis capacity planning and schematic engineering drawings for network enhancements.
Support planned network deployments upgrades and change management efforts.
Coordinate with agency and other networking teams for troubleshooting and change management.
Resolve trouble tickets and incidents via ServiceNow and Remedy ensuring thorough documentation.
Provide tier 2 support for widespread network events and incidents.
Evaluate current and future network needs and make technical recommendations.
Maintain configuration documentation and Visio diagrams for network hardware and software.
Ensure network security requirements are met and maintained.
Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.
Support remote IT staff agency operations and business partners with network-related issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Network Switching: 45 years
Network Routing: 34 years
CCNA certification: 2 years (desired)
SD-WAN experience: 2 years (beneficial)
CCNP certification: 1 year (beneficial)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from a step ladder
Additional Requirements:
Qualifications
Demonstrated hands-on experience in large enterprise networks.
Experience with routing protocols network monitoring tools and automation.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and make technical recommendations.
Strong customer service and collaboration skills.
