Location

Hybrid position based in Los Angeles CA. Most weeks you will work four days in the office and one day remotely giving you the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of a weekly work-from-home day.

Note

To qualify you must have 3 years of commercial litigation experience be admitted to the California Bar and have a law school GPA of at least 3.0. A law school transcript and writing sample are required for interview.

Job Description

  • Represent sophisticated business and individual clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Handle cases involving breach of contract tortious interference breach of fiduciary duty and other business torts.
  • Draft high-quality pleadings motions discovery and trial briefs with strategic insight and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties fact witnesses and experts.
  • Argue motions and appear in court for hearings conferences and mediations.
  • Assist partners with overall case strategy factual development and trial preparation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and colleagues managing day-to-day case responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups as needed with opportunities to touch related areas such as intellectual property litigation.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school with a 3.0 GPA.
  • Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
  • 3 years of civil litigation experience at a reputable law firm.
  • Solid commercial litigation background including contract and business tort matters.
  • Prior experience arguing motions and taking or defending depositions is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional legal research writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative professional demeanor.
  • Intellectual property litigation experience is a plus but not required.
