The Behavioral-Health Clinician provides assessment therapy crisis intervention and case coordination for individuals experiencing mental-health and/or substance-use concerns. This role delivers evidence-based treatment collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and supports clients in developing skills to improve emotional psychological and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive intakes mental-health assessments risk evaluations and diagnostic formulations using DSM-5 criteria.

Provide individual group and/or family therapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT DBT MI trauma-informed care etc.).

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and update them regularly.
-
Deliver crisis intervention safety planning and de-escalation during psychiatric or emotional emergencies.
-
Coordinate care with psychiatrists nurses case managers primary-care providers and community partners.
-
Monitor client progress evaluate treatment effectiveness and maintain timely clinical documentation.

Support clients in accessing community resources such as housing employment and peer-support services.
-
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings case consultations and internal trainings.

Maintain compliance with agency policies confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements (HIPAA state regulations).
Qualifications
-
Masters degree in Social Work Mental-Health Counseling Psychology Marriage & Family Therapy or related field.
-
Current state license or licensure-eligible (e.g. LCSW LMHC LPC LMFT or equivalent).

Experience in behavioral health clinical assessment and therapeutic interventions.
-
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care cultural humility and recovery-oriented practices.
-
Excellent communication documentation and crisis-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
-
Certification or experience in specialized areas (e.g. substance use trauma therapy children/adolescents co-occurring disorders).

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Experience in community-based outpatient or residential behavioral-health settings.
