Paradise Architectural PANELS & STEEL is seeking a highly skilled VDI Engineer to join our growing team. As a VDI Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our virtual desktop infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices
- Configure and maintain virtual desktop images templates and pools
- Monitor and troubleshoot VDI performance and connectivity issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of VDI with other systems and applications
- Develop and maintain documentation for VDI infrastructure and processes
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on VDI environment
- Identify and implement security measures to protect VDI environment
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with emerging VDI technologies and make recommendations for improvements to current infrastructure
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for VDI environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field
- 2 years of experience in designing implementing and maintaining VDI solutions
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware Citrix and Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with VDI management tools such as VMware Horizon View Citrix XenDesktop and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP DNS and DHCP
- Experience with storage technologies such as SAN NAS and RAID
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery processes for VDI environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
