The Core Function: Policyholder Advocacy
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our Dutch-speaking policyholders receive top-tier service. This involves skillfully managing inquiries across various channels (phone email) related to their insurance coverage claims status and administrative needs. You will need to synthesize complex insurance information and deliver clear accurate and empathetic responses functioning as a true advocate for the customer while adhering to company policies.
What the Role Entails
- Serving as the first point of contact for Dutch customers resolving questions and service requests related to their insurance products.
- Conducting thorough investigation and efficient resolution of customer issues knowing when to seamlessly hand off specialist cases to senior teams.
- Communicating intricate policy details and contractual fine points in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Accurately documenting every customer interaction and case status within the proprietary CRM system.
- Strictly maintaining compliance with operational procedures and quality service standards.
- Actively participating in training and contributing to a highly effective multilingual support team.
Mandatory Requirements
- Language Fluency: Native-level or advanced proficiency in Dutch (written and verbal). High proficiency in English (C1 level or higher) is essential.
- Commencement Date: Must be available to start on January 8th 2026.
- Employment Eligibility: Valid documentation for working in Portugal accepted as: EU Citizenship Residency Card (with remaining validity exceeding one year) or a Refugee Card.
Prior Background (Advantageous Not Compulsory)
- Prior experience in any customer service environment (e.g. call center help desk).
- Any background experience within the insurance or regulated financial sectors.
Logistics and Compensation
- Location: Lisbon Portugal.
- Working Week: Monday through Friday.
- Time Off: Guaranteed weekends off.
- Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts scheduled between 07:30 AM and 08:00 PM.
Financial Package
- Base Salary: 1100 Gross per month.
- Annual Structure: Paid 14 times per year.
