Job Summary
Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of essential building products. Operating across 17 sites in the UK they provide high-quality products that support both traditional and modern construction methods ensuring the continued growth of the UK construction industry.
Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the performance of high-speed automated machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Carry out both reactive and planned electrical maintenance while contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on production line machinery
- Fault-find on complex automated equipment and electrical systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance safety and reduce waste
- Support other engineering teams and external contractors as required
- Attend training and maintain technical knowledge to ensure maximum effectiveness
The ideal candidate will have:
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification
- Experience in a fast-paced high-speed manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
- Strong fault-finding skills on automated and electrical machinery
Desirable Skills:
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ex-forces background with transferable engineering experience
