Job Description Summary
This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the development of a configuration management framework for Wind Turbine products using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system best practices. The project focuses on defining how platforms product families and variants are structured managed and represented in the PLM system to enable controlled configuration and efficient data reuse
Job Description
The goal of the project is to define and implement the process and data structure for managing Wind Turbine product platforms families and variants in a PLM environment. This will establish a clear and standardized foundation for configuration control product evolution and option management across the product lifecycle.
Intern will:
- Define together with Config Management leader the rules and governance for platform family and variant management.
- Complete the product hierarchy model that supports configuration-driven development and reuse across multiple Wind Turbine variants.
- Identify and consolidate existing data from multiple tools (e.g. Excel lists PLM engineering databases) into the PLM system.
- Define quality checks on data consistency hierarchy integrity.
Expected Deliverables
- Process documentation describing how platforms families and variants are defined approved and maintained.
- Complete the implementation of the product hierarchy model in the PLM system demonstrating relationships between base platforms and derived variants.
- Data mapping report showing how existing data from current tools are integrated into the new structure.
- Governance and ownership model defining stakeholder roles and responsibilities.
- Final presentation and summary report outlining results lessons learned and recommendations for next steps
Qualifications/Requirements
- Fluent in English
- University student (active status) Engineering (mechanical electrical or aeronautical disciplines are preferred)

- Analytical mindset
- Attention to detail
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Collaborative attitude
- Proactive problem solving
Outcomes - Intern will gain
Experience on:
- Applying Configuration Management principles in a real world industrial context
- Structuring product architectures based on platforms families and variants.
- Working with PLM tools to define and manage product data
- Collaborating across engineering and product management.
Knowledge on:
- Wind turbines portfolio
- PLM Systems
