Job Summary
Old Mill Pond Elementary School is seeking a Reading Intervention Specialist to join our Intervention Team. The Reading Intervention Specialist will work with students to improve specific reading skills and with teachers to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child. The OMP Reading Intervention Specialist must be familiar with the MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) model for providing intervention.(DESE License: Academic: Specialist Teacher - Reading Degree preferred.)Duties to include but not limited to:Consult with classroom teachers on matters relating to reading targeted reading instruction to and write intervention plans for students detailing methods and with classroom teachers and district personnel to coordinate reading instruction designed to meet the individual needs of students and monitor student in the evaluation of ongoing programs and make recommendations for teachers diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and with the Intervention Team in collection/review of student monthly data meetings for classroom teachers building administrators and other district other responsibilities as assigned by the salary for this position is: according to positions are subject to qualifications duties and rates of compensation presently in force and subject to appropriate funding.
