Job Summary

Position Title: MIS/ Business Analyst

Location - Sec-18 Gurugram

Job Summary The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting cleaning and analyzing data to support business decisions. They will work under the guidance of senior analysts and managers to help the company understand trends identify opportunities and optimize operations. This role is crucial for transforming raw data into actionable insights for various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather data from multiple sources (e.g. databases spreadsheets APIs). Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to find patterns trends and anomalies. Use statistical methods to analyze data and test hypotheses.
Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards charts and reports using data visualization tools. Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing sales finance) to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions. Assist in gathering business requirements for new projects.
Process Improvement: Help automate routine data tasks and identify opportunities to improve data collection and analysis processes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data by conducting regular checks and audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a data analyst or a similar role.
Education: A Bachelors degree in a quantitative field.
Technical Skills:
- SQL: Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyze data from databases.
- Data Visualization: Experience with tools like Power BI or Tableau to create interactive dashboards and reports.
- Spreadsheets: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. PivotTables VLOOKUP charts functions).
- Programming: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis. Knowledge of libraries like Pandas and NumPy is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex findings clearly.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
