Job Title : Agile Coach & Scrum Master (Jira Kanban ServiceNow)
Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid -Local Candidates only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities Agile Facilitation & Coaching
- Facilitate and strengthen Scrum events including daily stand-ups sprint planning reviews retrospectives and backlog refinement.
- Train and support IT Team Leads to independently lead Agile ceremonies and maintain strong organizational awareness.
- Promote best practices for story writing task prioritization and collaboration across teams.
Team Coaching & Empowerment
- Coach IT Team Leads and their teams on Scrum and Kanban principles to enhance self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Hold IT Team Leads accountable for aligning work with IT leadership priorities.
- Train teams to proactively address issues recommend solutions and manage incidents collectively.
Impediment Analysis & Removal
- Guide IT Team Leads in identifying blockers managing incidents and facilitating dependency analysis.
- Ensure impediments are addressed promptly using communication and project management tools.
Backlog Management
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and IT Management to maintain a clear prioritized and well-groomed product backlog aligned with organizational needs.
Promote Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate retrospectives and ensure follow-through on actionable improvement items.
- Establish processes that prevent improvement actions from being overlooked.
Process Adherence
- Reinforce adherence to Scrum for development teams and Kanban for operations/infrastructure.
- Encourage the use of Kanban principles such as WIP limits workflow visualization and documenting repeatable tasks.
Collaboration & Alignment
- Coach Scrum and Kanban teams to improve communication and work toward successful incremental deployments.
- Support alignment between developers operations and other stakeholders.
Drive Team Effectiveness
- Enhance team performance by documenting training best practices and creating a living Working Agreement.
- Clarify roles responsibilities and expectations to reduce ambiguity and improve delivery outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies including underlying principles.
- Excellent facilitation coaching and mentoring abilities with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve team impediments and conflicts.
- Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs aligned with leadership priorities.
- Strong communication skills enabling collaboration with technical leads architects PMs security teams and stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Kanban principles: workflow visualization WIP limits and process optimization.
- Solid understanding of Scrum best practices for daily scrums alignment risk analysis and iterative delivery.
- Demonstrated servant leadership mindset focused on team empowerment and self-organization.
- Proficient in:
- Atlassian Suite (Jira Confluence)
- ServiceNow (ITSM & Agile Modules)
- MS Teams & Office 365
- Agile Certification required - minimum Scrum Master certification.
