Role Summary	The HCX SME is fully accountable for the successful design deployment and operational readiness of the VMware HCX platform to facilitate high-speed secure and zero-downtime workload migration.
Key Responsibilities	HCX Design Deployment & Support:
	- Design the HCX topology (site pairing service mesh network extension strategy) between the source and target VCF environments.
	- Deploy and configure HCX appliances (e.g. IX Network Extension WAN Optimization) and ensure proper licensing.
	- Collaborate with the Network Architect to validate network prerequisites and connectivity for HCX services.
	- Monitor HCX performance and health during bulk migration phases.
	- Serve as the primary technical resource for the Migration Specialist team resolving HCX-specific migration failures.
Required Skills	Expert-level demonstrable experience with VMware HCX including various migration methods (vMotion Bulk Replication Assisted vMotion). Strong network troubleshooting skills (L2 L3 firewall rules).
