Job Summary
Position: Network Support Specialist
Location: Harrisburg PA (17101)
Client: State of Pennsylvania
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a Network Support Specialist to join the Edge Networking team. The role involves providing technical support for local and wide area network infrastructure across various state agencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and extensive experience in network management including planning design and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches routers and firewalls.
- Monitor and resolve complex network issues using industry-standard tools.
- Assist in the design and capacity planning of LAN/WAN networks.
- Provide tier 2 support for incidents and coordinate with other networking teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies for network optimization.
Key Technical Skills:
- Network Switching: 4 years
- Network Routing: 3 years
- CCNA Certification: 2 years (preferred)
- SD-WAN Experience: 2 years (nice to have)
- CCNP Certification: 1 year (beneficial)
