Job Description - Application Transition Lead
Work Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Application Transition Lead who will be responsible for managing and executing large-scale application transitions ensuring seamless knowledge transfer operational stability and efficient onboarding into BAU (Business-as-Usual) support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in transitioning 50 applications or managing 50 FTEs in a transition program.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end Application Transition activities for large portfolios (50 applications or 50 FTE).

Define and implement Application Transition methodologies frameworks and best practices.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams stakeholders and client SMEs to ensure structured transition execution.

Oversee knowledge acquisition documentation creation handover processes and readiness assessments.

Ensure operational stability during and post-transition with clear checkpoints and governance.

Work closely with cloud teams to support transition of applications hosted in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).

Drive risk identification mitigation planning and timely issue resolution.

Monitor transition progress prepare dashboards and provide regular status reports to leadership.

Ensure compliance with security quality and process standards.
Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience.

Proven experience handling Application Transition for at least 50 applications OR 50 FTEs.

Strong understanding of standard transition methodologies planning governance and frameworks.

Experience working in cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP).

Excellent stakeholder management communication and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple streams prioritize tasks and drive outcomes under tight timelines.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in Managed Services IT Operations or Application Support environments.

Project management certifications (PMP / PRINCE2) are an added advantage.

Experience with transition tools documentation templates and knowledge management platforms.
