Description
As a Trauma Surgeon you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients with traumatic injuries. You will work alongside a skilled medical team ensuring that our surgical practices meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures for trauma patients effectively and efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document all patient interactions and surgical outcomes accurately
- Participate in emergency surgeries as required
- Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and advancements
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current board certification in Trauma Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
- Prior experience in trauma surgery preferred
- Strong surgical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts
Patient Volume: 35 per day split between providers
Must be proficient with tube thoracostomy central venous catheter placement and arterial line placement
Support Staff: Surgeons APPs and residents
EMR: Cerner PowerChart
Must be board-certified
