Job Description: Fabricator (Qatar)

Job Purpose

The Fabricator is responsible for cutting shaping assembling and welding metal components according to technical drawings and project specifications. The role ensures quality fabrication work while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and fabrication plans.
  

• Measure cut and shape materials such as steel aluminum or stainless steel using appropriate tools (cutting machines grinders shears etc.).
  

• Perform welding and assembling of components using MIG TIG Arc or other relevant welding techniques (depending on project needs).
  

• Fabricate structural components frames supports brackets ducts tanks or pipelines as required.
  

• Ensure all fabricated parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  

• Operate machinery such as bending machines drill presses saws and rollers.
  

• Carry out fitting alignment and tack-welding of assemblies before final welding.
  

• Follow company safety procedures use PPE and maintain a clean work area.
  

• Assist in loading unloading and handling of materials.
  

• Coordinate with supervisors and other team members for timely project completion.
  

• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of fabrication tools and equipment.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.
  

• Ability to read engineering drawings and material lists.
  

• Skilled in cutting welding bending and finishing metals.
  

• Knowledge of fabrication tools workshop safety and quality control.
  

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in fabrication or related field.
  

• 25 years of experience as a Fabricator (Gulf experience preferred).
  

• Experience in construction industrial or oil & gas fabrication workshops is an advantage.
  

• Certification in welding or fabrication is an added benefit.
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in workshop or site environments.
  

• Comfortable working in hot weather conditions when required.
  

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
