As a Lead Electrical Projects Engineer (Simulation Specialist) at INNIO you will be responsible for supporting our business throughout the project estimation design execution and commissioning phase of electrical powerplants with INNIO Jenbacher gas engines.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Functional (electrical) lead of balance of plant and powerplant projects in compliance with internal and external schedules
- The technical specification and the arrangement of electrical equipment
- Supporting commercial teams during the offer phase with ad hoc technical requests
- Detailed engineering throughout the project execution phase (e.g. wiring diagram design PLC software coding bill of material creation)
- Creation load-flow simulations selectivity studies and dynamic reports in line with Grid Code Requirements
- Providing technical support/advice to customers and partners during face to face meetings
- Working closely with specialists across Manufacturing Engineering & Service
- Creation and further developing our existing customer documentation
- Carry out overload and short-circuit calculations to properly size electrical power systems such as medium voltage switchgear transformers etc.
- Prepare dynamic simulation reports in accordance with Grid Code requirements
Your profile:
- A bachelor / Dipl. Ing. / masters degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or a diploma from a Higher Technical School with 5 years of practice in the Energy OR EPC sector
- Knowledge of power plant electrical equipment such as low and medium voltage components beneficial
- The ability to communicate fluently in English
- A willingness to travel up to 20% of working time
Desired characteristics:
- Capability to simulate electrical systems with software PowerFactory Digsilent
- Knowledge around synchronous generators and/or other DERs (distributed energy resources)
- Basic principles with various bus communication systems (e.g. Modbus TCP/IP)
- Proficiency with ePlan P8 is advantageous
- Experience with PID control systems for thermal circuits
