Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support a busy Nuclear Medicine department. The role includes performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams preparing radiopharmaceuticals ensuring patient safety and operating advanced imaging equipment in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards.
Responsibilities
Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures per established protocols.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment (e.g. Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT).
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety and compliance guidelines.
Educate patients and families on procedures expectations and safety.
Monitor patients throughout imaging and respond to clinical needs.
Conduct quality control calibration and routine equipment testing.
Maintain accurate documentation imaging records and logs.
Adhere to radiation safety standards including ALARA principles.
Support workflow room preparation and scheduling as needed.
Required Qualifications
ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine
Post-secondary Certification in Computed Tomography
New York State Radiologic Technologist License
BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience
Experience performing PET/CT on Siemens systems
Strong communication and patient education skills
Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelors degree preferred
Hospital or large health system experience
Experience in high-volume PET/CT environments
