Job Summary

Job Title: Coach/Sponsor

Responsible to: AthleticDirector/Principal

Qualifications:

Missouri State Teaching Certificate (Head Coach)
Substitute Certificate (Assistant Coach)

Primary Functions:

To develop a program for the students school and community.

General Responsibilities:

Ensure all paperwork is on file and submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate office.
Monitor academics regulations and guidelines.
Supervise all students under your control.
Follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety.
Work with the athletic director in the appointment and evaluation of assistants.
Conform to athletic department policy in ordering equipment and supplies and turning in an end of the year inventory list.
Plan and supervise all practice sessions.
Conform to activities policies in handling injuries; report all serious injuries immediately to the parents and athletic director.
Stay up to date in current coaching philosophies and trends.
Maintain open lines of communication with administration staff members coaches players and parents emphasizing the proper chain of command.

Report all results to the area newspapers radio and television stations.
