About the Role
This role is as a Principal Engineer - Project Management dedicated to GM SDV2.0s Noise Management and Branded Audio development and is responsible for AWE modules development AwX-based signal flow design implementation of customer control logic architecture documentation design as well as unit and integration testing
What You Will Do
Build and manage customer relationships at a working team level (Customer Program Release Engineers)
Make decisions regarding software build content and timing (Performance and Features) translate it into engineering level plan this includes identifying dependencies and road blockers
Gate the Software Development Release lifecycle to ensure customer acceptance of each release to ensure product acceptance for launch
Manage program risk proactively identify program risks and coordinate meetings with the PM and multi-discipline functions to address risks before they become issues
Evaluate project management processes and metrics to track and measure project success (Manage all product delivery elements)
Represent the program Internally to Sr. Management during program quality and operations reviews
Lead the program adherence to follow standard Harman processes and maintain program and customer-related documentation
Be the primary escalation point for both internal and external project software communications for the dedicated customer project
Resolve conflicts between internal and customer engineering groups
Will be involved in multiple software development lifecycles
Be able to manage multiple programs from requirements to delivery
Be able to solve complex design issues and take calculated risks
What You Need to Be Successful
Masters Degree in above-mentioned fields and 8 years of experience in research and development or bachelors degree and 10 years experience
6 years of systems engineering requirements management or related background
Proven technical leadership within the technology industry or automotive industry
Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders external suppliers and the customer
Experience managing external and internal vendors/partners
Strong communication skills (written & spoken) to explain technology concepts to non-technical audiences
High-quality mindset to develop software with best industry practices
Passion for Audio quality and performance
Bonus Points if You Have
Practical experience in related areas such as system design hardware/software design and real-time embedded applications
Previous experience in all phases of the software development process (Requirements Scope Design/Plan Develop Test and Customer Acceptance.)
Familiar with Automotive-SPICE
Strong background in embedded software development with a keen interest in learning new technologies and concepts
