Hours: Permanent/Apprenticeship/ Inc. part time education

Full Time37.5 hrs per week for age 21 and under

40 Hours per week for over the age of 21

Salary:20500 - 26150 (All degree fees will be paid by Align Property Services)

A little more about your team

Youll join an established team of engineers and technicians who are located across our offices in Northallerton Durham and Otley. Our Civils team have delivered on a number of meaningful projects including a recent scheme with Hull City Council providing updates to their roundabouts designed to increase highway capacity and enhance cycle lane infrastructure and theCatterick Levelling Up Fundproject where our Civils team led on infrastructure design in close collaboration with other disciplines.

What youll be doing

As part of our Civil Engineering team youll gain experience across key areas such as sustainable construction structural integrity surveys feasibility studies and design using different materials. Your role will involve supporting project delivery by planning tasks managing resources and ensuring outputs meet industry standards. Youll contribute to innovative design solutions analyse data using digital tools to solve technical challenges and play a part in construction activities focusing on safety risk management and quality.

In return youll receive a structured apprenticeship program with degree-level progression weekly day release to university travel expenses covered 25 days of annual leave and opportunities for professional development. What we are looking for

• Meets UCAS point requirements for the associated degree course
• Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBC (or equivalent) are typically required although certain apprenticeship programmes may specify BBB or higher
• To study Engineering subjects a grade C minimum at A level in Maths is essential
• Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades AC / 59) including Maths English and Science
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Holds a UK Driving Licence or is actively working towards obtaining one

About the Qualification:

You will start your Degree Apprenticeship in September 2026 attending a local University one day a week and working towards achieving a full undergraduate degree.

The apprenticeship supports career growth through blended learning. It offers business and role-specific training mentoring and practical experience. It includes an induction training days on-the-job learning and access to readily available resources.

Together with the support from your team we will work closely with you over the course of your apprenticeship to support and plan a development pathway that suits you.

A Degree Apprenticeship usually takes between 5-6 years to complete including End Point Assessment.
