Job Description
Applications to this pool will be utilized to fill part-time non-tenure track non-benefits eligible instructor positions in the Womens Gender and Sexuality Studies Program at Ohio University. The selected candidates may teach Introduction to WGSS ( WGSS 1000) 2000-level courses or combined undergraduate and graduate courses. On-campus instruction requires three hours in-class instruction per class per week and an additional hour per week for office hours. Ohio University. Ohio University. Established in 1804 Ohio University is an R1 institution and the oldest public university in the state of Ohio. Our total enrollment is over 28000 students across the state and online. About 20000 of those students are undergraduates studying at our residential campus in Athens a quintessential college town. The campus is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains amidst scenic state and national parks.
Minimum Qualifications
MA in WGSS or related field and relevant teaching experience at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
ABD or PhD in WGSS or related field. Experience as an independent instructor (full instructional and gradebook responsibility) of a relevant course at the university level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
