The role will involve characterization of drug-protein interactions in cell-lines and cells in primary culture exploration of physiological outcomes in pest and model invertebrates and investigations into the molecular basis of resistance and selectivity. Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute complex experimental work in insect physiology and electrophysiology.
- Design and implement research programs in collaboration with Bioscience colleagues.
- Analyze and interpret complex data providing expert insights and solutions.
- Guide and mentor junior team members fostering their development.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and communicate findings effectively.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
- Actively participate in expanding scientific knowledge through continuous learning.
Qualifications :
What we are looking for
- PhD or equivalent including practical experience in electrophysiology.
- Hands-on experience in electrophysiology techniques.
- Proven expertise in microscopy pharmacology and cell biology.
- Strong background in experimental design and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in scientific software and database systems.
- Experience with patch-clamp or voltage-clamp techniques (preferred).
