PwCs pension consulting practice specialises in developing long-term cost-effective pension strategies including defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) plans to balance employer costs and member benefits. The team sits within PwC Private and provides financial planning and wealth management support to clients and combines tax investment and pension planning to deliver market leading solutions. We have a strong dynamic team committed to delivering innovative solutions to our diverse client base. Our clients are varied and include leading multinationals in the technology pharma and financial services sectors through to Irish based Plcs start-ups and growing private companies.

What we do:

We provide independent advice to both employers and individuals to ensure that they are managing their pension arrangements effectively and efficiently. Whether you are an individual a company or a Trustee board our team focuses on delivering an honest unbiased view of the pension and investment strategy that will work for you.

Our financial planning team works with clients to establish clearly defined financial objectives. We support people to develop a tailored structure and discipline around their financial affairs and as they plan their savings and investments retirement and family protection.

What does this role offer

As aDirectorin the teamyouwill leada dynamic and diverse team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience contribute significantly to creating a culture of collaboration and team-based learning while helping our clientsimplement pensionand investmentsolutionsfrom strategy to execution.

Youlllead complex and challenging assignments while building strategic relationships with a diverse client base.Youllbe expected to bring innovative ideas to clients while keeping abreast of the widerpensionpolicy landscape.You will be market facingdriving business development initiatives across all industries and sectors.Youllbe expected to innovate to solve complex problems and collaborate to develop digital tools to help us maximize the client experience.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the success of a challengingevolvingand varied portfolio of clients

  • Responsible for driving growth via business development initiatives. A successful candidatewillhave a proventrack recordof extensive market-based business development activities which enable them to build their profile in the market.

  • Proventrack recordof working collaboratively with teams across thewider practice. An ability to bring a cross functional mindset to client issues.

  • Responsible for building strong client relationshipsanddemonstratinga clear desire to actively build widerPwCrelationships.

  • A successful candidate willbe responsible forcontributing significantly to our team culture which is focused on collaboration team based learning and real time feedbacksupportand coaching.

  • Lead by example in an environment where innovative thinking curiosity and a self-led approach to learning are at the forefront of everything we do. It is critical that youmaintainrelevance in the marketplace.

  • Coach team members and drive the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsibleauthenticand passionate manner.

  • Design and lead training initiatives for the team promoting a culture of continuous learning.

  • Supportour digital transformation strategy. Digital innovation is a key part of ourbusinessand we challenge ourselves to embrace andleveragetechnology in how we provide solutions and advice to clients.

  • Set the tone in promoting risk management and compliance procedures.

  • Responsible for the financial aspects of projects including budgetary and time constraints.

About you Key skills and competencies:

  • At least 10years experienceinthePensionor Investmentconsultingspacewith at least 5 years of managerial experience. The ideal candidate would havespentthe majority oftheir timeon consulting projects.

  • Degree in accounting economics finance international businesslawor other relevant disciplines/areas.

  • Post-graduate degree or qualification with a strong academic record.

  • Excellent business acumen; ability to think commercially on projects and share industry insights with teams.

  • Ability toidentifygaps in the market undertake and lead business development activities.

  • Actively seeks market facing opportunities to build their profile in the market.

  • Proventrack recordofbeing responsible formultiple complex projects within budgetary and time constraints while consistently delivering a strong level of client satisfaction.

  • Proventrack recordof delivering year on year profitable growth for the business.

  • Expertat successfullyleading multiple engagements across all attributes including coaching and training technicaldisciplinesandfinancial management.

  • Exceptional technical skills and a proventrack recordofmaintainingrelevance in an evolving marketplace.

  • Ability to move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.

  • Ambitious demonstratestrong commitment to personal self-directed learning and development building market profile seeking growth and progression opportunities.
