A little more about your team

The commercial team are friendly and collaborative made up of experienced professionals including a Principal Quantity Surveyor Senior Quantity Surveyors Quantity Surveyors and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Together we deliver a wide variety of projects across the Northeast and beyondfrom small refurbishments to multi-million-pound new builds. Recent projects include new housing developments a primary school in Northallerton an accommodation block at Bewerley Park and a maritime hub in Whitby with many exciting schemes in the pipeline such as care homes retrofit projects and infrastructure improvements. As we continue to grow were looking for someone whos excited to contribute learn and help shape the future of our team.

What youll be doing

As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor youll learn how to manage costs prepare estimates and oversee contracts while gaining hands-on experience on a variety of construction projects. Working closely with senior surveyors and project teams you will gain experience both on-site and in the office while also studying towards your degree. The role offers a strong foundation in the commercial aspects of construction and helps develop key skills in communication negotiation and analytical thinking.

In return youll receive a structured apprenticeship program with degree-level progression weekly day release to university travel expenses covered 25 days of annual leave and opportunities for professional development. What we are looking for

• Meets UCAS point requirements for the associated degree course
• Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBC (or equivalent) are typically required although certain apprenticeship programmes may specify BBB or higher
• Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades AC / 59) including Maths English and Science
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Holds a UK Driving Licence or is actively working towards obtaining one

The apprenticeship programme:

You will start your Degree Apprenticeship in September 2026 attending a local University one day a week and working towards achieving a full undergraduate degree.

The apprenticeship supports career growth through blended learning. It offers business and role-specific training mentoring and practical experience. It includes an induction training days on-the-job learning and access to readily available resources.

Together with the support from your team we will work closely with you over the course of your apprenticeship to support and plan a development pathway that suits you.

A Degree Apprenticeship usually takes between 5-6 years to complete including End Point Assessment.
