Lateral Hires Applicants with qualified experience will be paid within the step system equivalent to their experience up to $88740 annually for 5 years of experience as a sworn police officer. Qualified experience must come from a like-sized or larger municipal state county or university policing agency where the applicant served as a patrol officer investigator or order to qualify as a lateral applicants must be currently employed or employed within the last 6 months at a law enforcement agency.
POST-certified applicants who do notmeet the criteria for lateral pay will begin at the base salary and progress through the step system.
