Job Summary

## Python Development Lead - Job Description Location: Hyderabad Reports to: Head of Engineering / CTO Employment type: Full-time Summary Lead design and delivery Python applications for AI agent development. Own architecture code quality performance and team delivery while mentoring engineers and driving best practices across cloud (AWS Azure others) CI/CD observability and agent-oriented AI tooling. Key responsibilities - Lead a small-to-medium engineering team (5 10 engineers): plan sprints prioritize work run code reviews mentor and grow engineers. - Design and implement scalable secure maintainable backend services and APIs in Python (Django Flask FastAPI or equivalent). - Architect and operate cloud-native systems across AWS and Azure (compute container orchestration serverless storage networking IAM). - Design build and maintain AI agents or agentized services (prompting strategies orchestration tool integration safety/guardrails) where applicable. - Define and own system architecture microservices boundaries data flows and integration patterns with third party services. - Drive CI/CD deployment automation infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/ARM/Bicep/CloudFormation) and release processes. - Ensure production reliability: monitoring logging alerting incident response runbooks and post mortems. - Optimize performance cost and security of applications and cloud infrastructure. - Collaborate with product QA security data and ML teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Establish coding standards testing strategy (unit integration contract tests) and development lifecycle best practices. - Evaluate new technologies and provide technical roadmaps and estimations. Required qualifications - 4 years software development experience with 2 years in a lead/tech lead role. - Strong expertise in Python and production-grade frameworks (Django Flask FastAPI). - Proven experience building cloud-native applications on AWS and Azure (services such as ECS/EKS Lambda/Azure Functions RDS/Azure SQL S3/Blob Storage API Gateway/Application Gateway VPC/Virtual Network IAM). - Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes/EKS/AKS). - Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager). - Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps). - Strong background in designing RESTful/graph-based APIs message-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and DB design (Postgres MySQL NoSQL). - Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus Grafana ELK/EFK Datadog Application Insights). - Familiar with security best practices for cloud and application layers (encryption secrets management IAM least privilege). - Excellent mentoring communication planning and stakeholder-management skills. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Preferred / Optional (AI Agent & advanced skills) - Practical experience developing AI agents orchestration frameworks or agent-based systems using Python (LangChain Guidance Ray or custom orchestration). - Familiarity with LLMs and model APIs (OpenAI Anthropic Cohere Hugging Face) prompt engineering retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector stores (FAISS Pinecone Weaviate). - Experience integrating AI agents with backend services external tools/APIs databases and observability pipelines. - Knowledge of safety alignment and guardrail patterns for agent behavior (input validation sandboxing rate limits content filtering). - Certifications: AWS Certified (Developer/Architect) Microsoft Azure certifications. - Experience with multi-cloud deployments and hybrid cloud networking. - Familiarity with SRE practices
