Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with experience in the Insurance domain to join our analytics team supporting a US-based client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and delivering interactive and insightful dashboards reports and data models. Experience in Qlik is a plus. The role requires strong analytical abilities business acumen and proficiency in data visualization and BI tools.

Key Responsibilities Power BI Development

Design develop and maintain Power BI dashboards reports and data models based on business requirements.
Implement DAX calculations data transformations and optimize data models for performance.
Integrate data from multiple sources including databases flat files APIs and cloud-based systems.
Create visually compelling and intuitive data visualizations aligned with business goals.

Data Management & Analysis

Collaborate with business stakeholders analysts and SMEs to understand reporting & analytics needs.
Perform data profiling data validation and data quality checks.
Support end-to-end BI development from requirement gathering design development testing and deployment.

Insurance Domain Expertise

Work closely with insurance business teams to understand metrics related to:
- Policy management
- Claims analytics
- Underwriting performance
- Risk assessment
- Customer segmentation
Apply domain knowledge to transform raw data into meaningful business insights.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Interact with US-based onshore teams for requirement clarification status updates and delivery coordination.
Participate in Agile ceremonies providing estimates and delivering within sprint timelines.
Offer production support troubleshooting and performance optimization when required.

Mandatory Skills

Power BI (Advanced) - report development DAX data modeling Power Query.
Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
Experience working in Insurance domain projects.
Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into analytical solutions.

Desired Skills

Qlik (QlikView/Qlik Sense) experience is highly desirable.
Experience with Azure Data services Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
Exposure to Python or R for analytics (nice to have).

Qualifications

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Statistics or related fields.
6 years of experience in BI development (based on client expectations).
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

Hybrid work model (2 3 days WFO as per client policy).
Rotational shifts to align with US client interactions.
Should be open to extended support during critical business periods.
