Salary and Benefits

The pay for this position is $140000 - $170000 (based on years of experience)
Fiscal year bonus based on productivity

Responsibilities

4 Day Work Week 100% Outpatient
14 16 Patients of All Ages Per Day
Appropriate clinical documentation through their Athena EMR
Perform vision tests analyze results and develop a treatment plan.
Examine eyes using observation instruments and pharmaceutical agents to determine visual acuity and perception focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness.
Prescribe eyeglasses contact lenses and medications.
Prescribe therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision.
Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery for example examining a patients eyes the day after surgery.
Work closed with primary care providers in the provision of team delivery of healthcare.
Maintain accurate timely and quality health records.
Participate in all quality measures as required.

Requirements

New Graduates Welcome
Clear and Active Medical Doctor License in the State of Maine
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Optometry
Active DEA
