In order to support the growth of our private markets business we are expanding our investment team focused on transactions and are looking for a
Your main responsibilities:
Source private markets secondary opportunities by fostering relationships mainly with intermediaries but also with fund managers and investors
Perform secondary investment analyses of private markets funds and assets applying our proprietary secondary pricing models
Negotiate commercial secondary terms with sellers
Prepare private markets secondary investment memos and present investment proposals to our respective Investment Committee
Upon Investment Committee approval follow through the legal and tax due diligence process up to the onboarding of new secondary investments on behalf of our secondary accounts and accounts with secondary exposure
Monitor existing secondary investments on a qualitative and quantitative basis
Conduct private markets secondary related research and ad-hoc analyses that may go beyond the secondary market and are intended to serve our investment as well as business development teams
Support private markets secondary related business development and client relationship projects and represent Mercer Alternatives secondary platform at conferences and events
Your profile:
Top academic credentials (masters degree) additional qualifications (CFA CAIA) are a plus
Two years of professional work experience in asset management corporate finance or a related field (ideally in the private equity and/or secondary investment area)
Strong analytical skills and ability to condense complex information and reflect in a straight forward format
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Self-motivated team player able to work independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (German or other languages are a plus)
