What Youll Do

As an Engineering Design & Drafting Technologist youll support mechanical engineering design and drafting for new development improvements and production engineering. Your work will include:

• Creating 3D models engineering drawings and technical documentation using specialized software.
• Designing simple mechanical components for platforms and payloads ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental standards.
• Assisting with prototyping testing and confirming designs alongside the engineering team.
• Peer reviewing drawings and change control documentation.
• Operating a 3D printer when required.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to meet project timelines and budgets.

• Recommending improvements to processes and workflows.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary diploma or higher in an engineering-related field.
• CET designation through ASET (or eligibility).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering design and drafting.
• Proficiency in parametric modeling and drafting software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with autonomous or uncrewed vehicles.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes (metalwork wiring electronics).

• Familiarity with FEA CFD and technical writing.

Security & Safety Requirements

• Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Eligible for Canadian Class 2 Security Clearance including background check and criminal record screening.
• Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment (factory floor testing deployments).

• Able to lift up to 15 kg and occasionally travel off-site.
