As a Transfer Driver for Darling Ingredients you are responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle to transfer raw product from our transfer station in Chatfield MN. to our processing facility in Blue Earth MN.
- Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday.
- Start Time: 6:00am can be flexible.
- Work Hours Per Day: 8
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Pick up raw materials as needed; weigh in raw material when returning to processing facility.
- Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
- Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state federal local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
- Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets driver vehicle inspection reports accident reports mileage reports service forms etc).
- Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
- Maintain DOT log on onboard computer.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A drivers license with Tanker Endorsement.
- Must be registered on Qualifications
- Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
- Good math and communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Constantly required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
- Occasionally lift push pull or carry up to 100 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle and plant environment.
