Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Type: Contract
Shift: Nights 312.5-hour shifts
Local Pay Range: $55$60/hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Emergency Room Registered Nursefor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe effective emergency nursing care using the nursing process; maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Complete comprehensive patient assessments throughout the admission covering physical psychological social and discharge planning needs.
Develop and communicate individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams.
Demonstrate competency to function in the charge nurse role when needed.
Maintain proficiency in nursing informatics and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Serve as a clinical resource for patient care staff orientation and educational needs.
Attend required training participate in unit meetings and maintain annual continuing education credits.
Participate in quality improvement activities identifying key indicators and measuring outcomes.
Comply with safety guidelines infection control policies and proper handling of blood/body fluids.
Maintain professional development documentation and stay current with skills relevant to all patient age groups served.
Uphold confidentiality represent the organization professionally and deliver consistent service excellence to patients families and colleagues.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience.
1 year of prior ER travel experience required.
Active Massachusetts RN license.
BLS and ACLS required (must be maintained).
Successful completion of facility-required pharmacology and arrhythmia exams.
Strong competency in:
IV administration & IV starts
Ventilator management
Telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication and English language skills.
Preferred Certifications
De-escalation certification (approved course)
TNCC
ENPC
PALS
