Job Summary

The Business Digital Transformation & Optimization (DTO) department is a cross-functional team focused on improving projects processes systems and tools in order to drive positive and quantitative business results. This area is responsible of defining standardizing implementing and continuously improving processes systems and tools to develop sustainable efficiencies and continuous improvement in the entire value chain of the Onshore business.

The Quality area as part of the Digital Transformation & Optimization department is responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards through a robust Quality Management System (QMS) driving continuous process improvement and enforcing data quality and governance across digital initiatives. It oversees audits defines quality rules validates project deliverables and aligns quality objectives with DTOs strategic pillars such as operational excellence and technology adoption ultimately safeguarding standards and fostering efficiency throughout the transformation program. The key driver for the Senior Quality Manager to be successful is strong cross-functional collaboration combined with deep knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives that align quality systems with strategic business goals. The Senior Quality Manager will champion the culture of operations quality influence peers as well as motivate and direct all personnel in planning implementing and sustaining related functions policies and processes. The position is the enabler of cross-functional continuous improvement through management of processes and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management Systems Readiness. Document and refine Operational procedures by reviewing company processes interviewing responsible parties and participating in department changes and initiatives. When appropriate research and advise on best practices.

Quality Objectives. Represent Avangrid Power in establishing annual quality objectives and perform all related periodic and annual reporting in accordance with established criteria. Submit monthly and quarterly QMS reports communicate and track non-conformances and ensure closure using the corrective action process.

ISO Certification Readiness & Compliance Management. Lead initiatives to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification. Develop and maintain documentation process maps and compliance checklists.

Internal Audit Program Leadership. Develop and execute an annual audit plan covering all critical processes. Conduct audits both onsite and remote at both office and generation assets. Report findings and ensure timely corrective actions. Train internal teams on audit readiness and compliance best practices.

External Audit Management. Organize prepare and manage all external audits related to ISO certification. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors ensuring timely scheduling and coordination. Prepare audit documentation evidence and reports to demonstrate compliance. Lead post-audit reviews and implement corrective actions as required.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management. Embed quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies across all Avangrid Power operations. Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures. Support performance improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.

Integration of New Business Areas. Lead integration of new business units (e.g. offshore projects) into the Quality Management System. Harmonize policies procedures and standards across diverse operational environments. Ensure seamless onboarding of new teams into the quality management system.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Drive initiatives to enhance audit depth reduce non-conformities and improve process efficiency. Leverage digital tools and analytics to monitor quality KPIs and trends. Champion innovation in quality practices to align with Avangrid Power transformation goals.

Process Improvement Leadership. Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Develop and implement process optimization strategies that improve productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize best practices and ensure scalability. Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools to support continuous improvement in operations.

Avangrid Power Business KPI Ownership. Monitor analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Avangrid Power business units. Ensure KPI tracking aligns with corporate objectives and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Provide actionable insights to leadership for performance optimization and strategic decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership. Act as a subject matter expert for quality-related queries and strategic decisions.

Training & Capability Building. Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards compliance and best practices. Mentor professionals across Avangrid Power on development of quality systems.

Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering Quality Management or equivalent combination of technical training & experience.

Minimum 8 years of experience in Renewable industry at any process related capacity

Minimum 2 years of experience managing process improvement under a quality management system

Minimum 2 years working in roles with direct involvement on quality assurance or compliance into Renewables or Generation projects.

Knowledge in the ISO 9001 standard and certification processes.

Strong knowledge of Avangrid Power business operations in any of their value chain areas from Commercial Organic Growth Project Execution or Operations.

Proven experience in strategic project execution strategic planning risk management and change management while engaging and influencing various stakeholders at all levels across the company.

Ability to organize prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities and meet target deadlines.

Ability to communicate with and influence technical and non-technical customers colleagues and vendors.

Ability to share knowledge and mentor and manage less experienced team members.

Strong commitment to personnel safety and security.

Be team oriented and a proactive change agent with a hands-on and collaborative approach to implement and maintain operating disciplines.

This role will have a proven track record of implementing creative solutions and driving continuous improvement within their field. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.

Travel within the US will be required from time to time to complete onsite Internal Audits.
