Shift: Days
Schedule: 58-hour shifts
Local Pay Range: $54$59/hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) IV Therapyfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Responsibilities
Apply the full nursing process to ensure safe effective and patient-centered care with accurate and timely documentation.
Summarize assessment findings and initiate individualized care plans; communicate key information to the clinical team.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to therapies and interventions.
Demonstrate competency in assuming charge responsibilities when assigned.
Maintain proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing informatics systems.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff regarding patient care orientation and education.
Participate in at least four unit meetings annually and attend all mandatory training sessions.
Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying clinical indicators and evaluating care effectiveness; adhere to safety infection control and blood/body fluid policies.
Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices related to assigned patient populations.
Positively represent the organization through professional conduct confidentiality and exceptional customer service.
Provide excellent service to patients families visitors volunteers and colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Successful completion of facility-required Pharmacology exam
Proficient verbal and written communication in English
Prior IV therapy experience required
Current hands-on IV and vascular access experience
Competent in peripheral line placement for pediatric and neonatal patients (within 6 months of hire)
Experience with PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred
Proficient in PICC placement within 1 year of hire
IV Certification (CRNI) required within 2.5 years
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
