Senior CNC ProgrammerOperator (Job Shop) – Day Shift

Pay: $30.00 $38.00 per hour (based on experience)

Why this role (hook): Youll program set up and run parts across a true jobshop playgroundfrom a 5axis OMAX waterjet to bridge mills HMCs and VTLsbacked by a climatecontrolled inspection room and modern CAD/CAM. If youre the machinist others go to for tricky oneoffs and small batches youll feel at home here.

• Bigiron variety: horizontals bridge mills VTL livetool lathes EDM grinding presses plus cranes and inhouse secondary ops
• Real process ownership: program in Mastercam prove out inspect and push cycle times down

Schedule

• MondayFriday 8:00am4:30pm or 7:00am3:30pm (flexible); Day shift; No weekends

What youll do

• Program set up and operate CNC milling (primary) and waterjet equipment for oneoff and smallbatch work
• Read/interpret prints & GD&T; choose tools workholding and strategies; generate/optimize toolpaths in Mastercam 2023 (and other CAD/CAM as needed)
• Perform setups tool changes inprocess checks; verify parts with CMM comparator and precision gaging
• Collaborate to reduce cycle times improve surface finish/accuracy and troubleshoot issues; maintain machines to safety/quality standards

What you bring (musthaves)

• 8 years programming & operating CNC mills in a jobshop environment (proveout to firstarticle)
• Expert Mastercam proficiency; strong CAD/CAM fundamentals; deep understanding of Gcode tool selection speeds/feeds workholding
• Blueprint/GD&T fluency; advanced setup/operation/inspection skills; able to run with minimal supervision and juggle multiple jobs
• Strong problemsolving and communication; quality and safetyfocused

Nice to have

• Waterjet (OMAX) experience; horizontals/bridge mills; livetool/Yaxis turning; mold/tooling; wire EDM; CMM experience; familiarity with Trello or similar
