POSITION SUMMARY
Borden Dairy is seeking asafety-consciousandquality-focusedprofessional to join our team asaMaintenanceTechnician.âIn this dynamic role you willinstallmaintain and repair production and manufacturing equipment.â Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturers specifications.â
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipmentin accordance withmanufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
- Perform BASIC troubleshooting diagnosis repair andmaintenance ofequipment to the desiredcompanysperformance standards.
- Interface troubleshootdiagnose and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment
- Utilizinga continuousimprovement mindsetassistinginidentifyingopportunities to improve processes.
- Comply withall company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.
- Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalentrequired.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; orone-yearrelated experience and/or training in manufacturingequipmentmaintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of continued education and experience.
Other Functions:
- Ability to read write perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately record datarequired.
- Mustbe willing to work overtime weekends holidays and varying shifts asrequired.
- Must be able tofrequentlystand walk kneel reach climb pull and bend with full range of body motion.
- Must be able tofrequentlylift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills anda systematicapproach to troubleshooting and problem solvingisrequired.
Preferred but notrequired:
- Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g. starters fuses contacts relays).
- Experience with conveyors (air cylinders diverters sensors motor/speed controls).
- Experience with electrical systems (installation frequency drive troubleshooting)
- Experience with electronics (e.g. level probes flow meters drives/VFDs etc.).
- Experience with gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds ordering parts machining parts).
- Experience with hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders pumps valves troubleshooting).
- Experience with kinematics (e.g. line speed/sprocket size ratios etc.).
- Review rating instructions.
- Experience with packaging/high speed production (e.g. bottling consumer products etc.).
- Experience with pneumatics (solenoids cylinders motor brakes reading troubleshooting).
- Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g. valves cylinders etc.).
- Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
- Experience with pumps (e.g. troubleshooting replacing seals/motors understanding specs).

Certificates Licenses Registrations:
- PLC HVAC Ammonia Refrigeration or other specialty certifications preferred but notrequired.
âWorking Conditions:
- Must be able to work in hot and cold climates both indoors and outdoors.
PHYSICALDEMANDS
- Must be able tofrequentlystand walk kneel reach climb pull and bend.
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50pounds;and occasionally 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold damp environment.
