PeopleCert is looking for a Corporate Development Associate / Senior Associate who will join the Corporate Development Department. As a Corporate Development Associate / Senior Associate you will play a key role in supporting PeopleCerts Corporate Development strategy identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities and supporting the execution of M&A transactions. and supporting the execution of a strong M&A strategy.
As a Corporate Development Associate / Senior Associate your tasks will include the following:
- Supporting A-Z the corporate development team in sourcing evaluating and analyzing potential M&A opportunities.
- Working with cross-functional teams to design and execute the full M&A lifecycle including company market and competitive analysis; project management; negotiation support; pricing and financial impact assessment (such as financial modelling and sensitivity analyses); deal structuring; due diligence coordination; and preparation of transaction documentation.
- Preparing presentations and other materials for executive leadership and board meetings related to M&A opportunities.
- Collaborating closely with internal and external functions (e.g. legal finance).
What we look for:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Economics.
- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in top corporate environments (banking consulting private equity).
- For the Associate role: 5 years experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Development.
- For the Senior Associate role: 8 years experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Development.
- Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification is desired LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus). Good knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset.
- Excellent IT skills ECDL Core/Expert certification will be considered a plus.
- Excellent Project Management skills PRINCE2 certification will be considered will be viewed as an advantage.
- Passionate AI user (AI Champion mentality).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced financial modelling skills.
- Team-playing approach and stakeholder management skills.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) the official language of the relevant country.
